Module 2 (English) - Resource and production chains
About this course
The ultimate goal of a business is to make money. At least, according to some. According to others, besides making money, businesses should also make the world a better place.
Whatever you think of this, it is clear that businesses are a major driving force in our society. Thus, there are also opportunities to realize changes. This was seen in the industrial revolution, the chemical revolution after World War II and the current digital revolution. But could that also apply to the ecological revolution? And if so, how? The current economics books that are used at universities are filled with theories from the 1950s, which are in turn based on theories from years earlier. A new 21st century economic model — a circular model — should not only be about growth. It should also be about prosperity with an eye for people and the earth. And it should be sustainable, in contrast to our current economic model.
